Delivery of the 4th modernized GAF 100 for DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH

The next track maintenance vehicle modernized by GBM Gleisbaumechanik Brandenburg/H. GmbH has left our workshops in Kirchmöser. The focus of the modernization was on driving dynamics and environmental aspects as well as on topics to increase user-friendliness.

For example, the approx. 25-year-old powertrain of the GAF 100 was replaced with a current diesel engine of emission level 5 with particulate filter exhaust aftertreatment and hydrostatic travel drive, and the crane including radio remote control on the loading platform was renewed.

Furthermore, the vehicles have been equipped with a new cabin with air conditioning to improve work operations and an additional door to the loading area for hazard-free access to the loading area and track field lighting (3 tube lights on each side of the vehicle) to increase work safety.

Other features such as refueling points on both sides, LED lighting and repainting rounded off the modernization program.

The vehicles are now available to DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH for operations involving the maintenance, upgrading and service of track infrastructures.
